SURYA IDEAL VILLAGE PROJECT IN CHHATISGARH
Shri Jaiprakash Agarwal Chairman of SURYA FOUNDATION & Surya Group has started village development project in the state. The project has already covered all districts of Chhattisgarh.
Inspired by Anna Hazare of Maharashtra, Surya Foundation has work in 1100 villages in Chhattisgarh. Also it will conduct Personality Development Camp for about 30000 children / youths of the Chhattisgarh state in one year.

The closing ceremony of the Ideal Village Project - 1Youth camp is being held today at Police Ground in Raipur & 2000 youths will be participating in this camp. Youth from many villages of Chhattisgarh have undergone 20 days training in this camp. They have learnt a great deal during the camp. Their bubbling bright faces display the good results of this training which will be very useful for them in their lives and also for the society and the country. They have worked very hard during the training camp and have now resolved to propagate the same in the society. |

Hon'ble Chief Minister Raman Singh has expressed happiness that Surya has taken the initiative for these projects in the state.
The project will benefit the villages and slum areas of the cities. Self Help Group (SHG) have been set up for the womenfolk in the villages and committees have been formed for development work. Through this medium new development in the villages of Chhattisgarh and Ideal villages are being made. Baal Vikas Kendras (Coaching Centres) have been set up in these villages which are providing education to the children. Personality Development Camps have been conducted for the youth of the villages. The Project have promoted education, healthcare, opportunities for character building, water harvesting and also work towards inculcating a spirit of brotherhood. All this will help in overall development of the villages.
Shri Jaiprakash, Managing Director of Surya Roshni has called upon the other big companies to come forward to help the society as their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). He said that Surya has launched similar projects in many states and we plan to cover the entire country with focus on Chhattisgarh. |
