Report on frail buildings to be presented in 15 days- UDD Chief.
Pune, October 21st, 2011: 14-11-11,PUNE- A report on the buildings constructed 30 years ago and are in a frail condition should be submitted by all municipal corporations of important cities of the state within 15 days, said T C Benjamin, Principal Secretary of Urban Developemnt Department (UDD), Govt. of Maharashtra. He was speaking with CREDAI Members in a meeting called to discuss the various issues faced by builder community.

The officers of municipal corporations need to take a review on the re-development of more than 3 decades old buildings. Also, the buildings which are less than 30 years old but in need of re-development should also be re-viewed and the report of the same should be submitted to the Government within next 15 days, added Benjamin..
The Principal Secretary assured that the Chief Minister Prithiraj Chavhan will soon take a decision on long pending and much awaited Development Plan (DP) of Pune. He also promised the CREDAI Members that the decision on a long pending issue of PMC parking norms along with construction TDR will be taken by Urban Development Department (UDD) at the earliest.
CREDAI members also raised the issue of ring road in Nashik. Benjamin answered that if the Nashik Municipal Corporation submits a detailed plan for the ring road before the Kumbh Mela scheduled in 2015, the state government would initiate the necessary process on priority basis. The decision on Regional Plan (RP) of Nashik will also be taken in the meeting scheduled on 18th November
Many pending issues related to Nagpur’s TDR, FSI, Amalgamation, appointment of Director of Town Planning will be taken during Nagpur Assembly. He also assured of a meeting with Presidents of CREDAI Maharashtra during the same time. Issues related to important cities like Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Sindhudurg, Sangli & Amravati were also discussed.
Present in the meeting were Maharashtra’s Town Planning Director Shrirang Landge, Dy. Director Sudhir Sukhadikar, Dy Director of Pune Town planning dept. Avinash Patil, Assit. Dy Director Uttareshwar Londhe, Addl. Town Engineer of PMC Vivek Kharwadkar, Dinesh Garola, Satish Magar- President of CREDAI Maharshtra, Secretary Sanjeev Pate, Treasurer Shantilal Kataria(Maha.) , Vice President Anant Rajewadkar, VP Ram Purohit along with Presidents of CREDAI City unit Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Nagpur, Sindhudurg, Amravati, Aurangabad, Nashik, Akola, Nanaded, Solapur.
