Metropolis in alliance with Labone to bring advanced technology and services to Chhattisgarh.
Raipur, December 21st, 2011: Metropolis Healthcare, India’s leading multinational chain of diagnostic centers announces its entrance into Raipur through a partnership with Labone. This alliance with Labone will bring advanced technology and services to the state of Chhattisgarh, thus proliferating Metropolis penetration in tier II and tier III cities.

‘Brown field’ is a term used when a company acquires / partners with an already existing structure inclusive of machinery & equipment. Metropolis’s 19th brown field venture will cater to the city of Raipur including adjoining districts and towns like Raigarh, Bilai, Durg etc. With the total area spanning 6000 sq ft, this lab will provide a test menu of 4500 of diversified tests, with quick and cost effective reports for frequently asked Hormone tests. Most of the common tests will now be processed in Raipur itself instead of sending them to bigger labs in Mumbai.
On this momentous occasion, Dr. Sushil Shah, Chairman- Metropolis Healthcare Ltd says, “With the successful set up of this Joint venture with Labone, we aim to provide international standard services in all of Chhattisgarh and benefit the local citizens with a broader range of more accurate and cost effective pathology tests. We plan on adding 3 new labs and 50 collection centers in Chhattisgarh in the coming two years with an investment of Rs 10 cr”.

Ameera Shah, Managing Director and CEO Metropolis says: Metropolis’s expansion plan in the near future includes adding 15 labs (both Brownfield and Greenfield laboratories) in tier II and tier III cities across India. The company is likely to make a total investment of around Rs. 30 crores in this fiscal year. These well-equipped labs will be located in cities like Gorakhpur, Jalandhar, Jodhpur, and Chandigarh, Bareilly, Amritsar, Lucknow, Pondicherry, Salem, Kollam, Bhopal, Ranchi.
