Sonic Biochem signs a long-term contract with IBM for Managed Hosting Services
* To host it’s entire IT infrastructure at IBM Datacentre in Bangalore
Raipur, May 26, 2011: IBM and Sonic Biochem Extractions Limited announced today a ten year
contract for Managed Hosting & Monitoring Services of Data Center equipment in IBM Bangalore to
ensure all-time availability of critical business applications.

This deal provides a significant cost saving to the tune of approximately 20% in the first year itself and
increasing subsequently in terms of DC infrastructure management and monitoring to Sonic besides
assured service levels & support from IBM
Sonic Biochem Extractions Ltd., part of Matlani Group India, develops and manufactures ingredients
for the healthcare industry. The group has made impressive progress in the field of new generation
soya products having manufactured few products for the first time in India. To support it’s growing
business, Sonic Biochem needed a reliable facility to host their IT infrastructure running SAP ERP
and other business applications hence choose IBM datacenter in Bangalore as most suitable to their
needs.
Sonic has signed a 10-year contract for outsourcing of entire IT infrastructure including servers,
storage, network equipment and security solutions to.IBM Datacentre. This involves IBM renting the
DC space, providing Monitoring services and Backup services on opex model.

to help streamline clients operations, reduce complexity and simplify vendor management, thereby
improving availability, reliability, performance, and end-user satisfaction. By leveraging this, Sonic
Biochem would also save their costs on hiring, training and retention of own IT resources for hosting
& managing on-premise datacenter
