CINEMAX ENTERS RAIPUR- 5 SCREENS TO OPEN AT CITY CENTRE MALL
Raipur, 11 February 2011: Cinemax, one of the largest multiplex chains in India, is all set
enter Raipur. The Grand Opening will be on February 11, 2011. This sprawling 5 screen
multiplex located at City Centre Mall will have total capacity of 1055 seats.
Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh is an important regional, commercial and industrial
destination for the coal, power, steel and aluminum industries. Raipur is also among India’s
biggest iron markets. Research shows that people in Raipur are passionate about their
culture and are avid film-goers. With this launch in their city, they can experience the Cinemax
benchmarked technology, lighting, acoustic sound system – thus making each movie-watching
experience unique in its own right. Having marked its presence in Raipur, Cinemax now has 107
operational screens across the country in 33 locations with a total capacity of 27,839 seats.
